Mangareader is missing a few chapters though. For some reason.

Well, uh, on mangareader there’s a gap between chapters 5 and 6 – if you haven’t noticed, from Possessed 3 it jumps straight to Possessed 7. So yeah, that’s 4 missing chapters, which is a lot.
I can take their scan to translate “Shinrei Tantei Yakumo” into Spanish]? of course I’ll give the appropriate credit for their work
If I can not, I understand.

That’s very strange. Have you downloaded from mediafire before? It’s working for me, and it seems to be working for other people. Perhaps there’s another download server that you know works for you? We can try to upload to different servers, like fileserve or megaupload or sendspace, etc.

Haha, glad it worked out. But I might use additional download servers from our next release onwards, for people’s convenience.
I don’t have any pets right now, but I did have a cat a very long time ago. Can’t speak for the rest of the staff, though.
I have a very large goldfish. No cats, waaaaaaaay too allergic :)
I’m currently having a cat (it’s my roomie’s), a black, male, ex-stray cat. He’s a real tsundere, hates to be hugged and uses claws and teeth to get the hell out of a hug. He only lets you hug him if HE wants it and if he knows he’ll get food right away. XD But he can be cute sometimes.
I have no cat; I have plans to nuture a rabbit in my future home :).
Err.. since you asked for the readers opinion I’d say the old style was warmer & I liked it better.
But I honestly think your cleaner should do it the way she has less work &more fun. %D

Why dont you guys go to http://www.batoto.com.
They are by scantilators and they share ad revenue with the groups. Also they dont fuck up original file
They have also contacted us, and we have given them our permission to host our scanlations :).
As Lito said, Batoto has contacted us about the scanlation and we have granted permission for them to host. I’ll make an official announcement post soon, after I get a better idea of what we plan on doing with our own online reader given Batoto.

i read the version before this that only have 2 volume, and at the first i little bit dissappointed with the second version which artword was draw by Oda-sensei.
But after volume 2, i can say …… this artwork’s version is more great XD so i really say thank u for mujintou staff for this awesome stuff :)

We don’t scanlate from the tankoubon, so someone will need to provide the raws for us. Furthermore, I translate from Chinese and not Japanese; a couple staff know some Japanese but might not be enough, I’m not sure. If we have resources, we’ll do our best to include the 4koma, but at this moment, I make no promises.
That’s not a 4-panel comic, it’s a normal picture from the newest chapter available in Japan. :)

I was wondering if you’d consider translating more of the SFX? For me, at least, the SFX help to understand what’s going on.
Oh, I don’t know about sfx. Most of the time they consist of *someone stepping up* or *flip [a page]* or *smack [Ishii on the head]* XD and they are understandable enough when looking at the picture. We add the sfx only if they are really needed (f.g. if someone sighs? or screams.) and I don’t think that’s gonna change. (Unless we get a second typesetter)
(even then I’m not so sure)
Or another cleaner to redraw them or someone to translate them LOL

If you’re asking about the tankoubon releases, I’m afraid I don’t know much about it. If you’re asking about the 4th file case (the one we’re currently scanlating), it ends on the 12th chapter, i.e. file 04.12, so we’re almost halfway through.
Can’t wait to read more chapters. I love Yakumo series, it’s one of the best mangas I’ve ever read and you’re doing a great job by translating it! Although English version is over a year behind the Chinese one ;)

I’ve been a huge fan of the Yakumo series and since I started learning japanese I also bought the tankoubon whenever I could. I wish I could help you with the japanese-english translations but unfortunately my skills only work so far that I can understand about 70% what’s going on for myself and you wouldn’t like to have translations made by a numbnut ;(
Though should I get to the point where I could translate it professionally and the series hasn’t ended yet haha, then I’m sure to be knocking at your door if you’re searching for a translator :D

So either way he’s walking around with a crumpled contact lense in his eye and is half blind most of the time or he has some super awesome selfhydrating contact lenses haha.
some of your “fans” have been harassing the other group who’s translating Yakumo. I didn’t read their scans but there is no need to harass them. I saw somebody diss the other scan group on a public forum. I love you guys but your followers are getting crazy.

I felt the need to drop by and say that you guys are the best for scanlating Shinrei Tantei Yakumo. You’ve got some good quality translations and cleaners, and you make the wait for new chapters well worth it. Here’s to a new year and more great releases from you guys!
Any news on when the next chapter will be out? You are the best. I know the basics of photoshop but am trying to learn more and focusing on learning to clean manga. Hopefully in the near future I will feel confident enough to apply for a cleaner position. Until then, Keep up the good work.

I just wanted to let you know that the group that completed the English scans for Volume 1 and Volume 2.01, their website is gone and we can no longer access those chapters. I know it might be too much to ask but would you be willing to go back and complete these chapters yourselves?
